Universify Education seeks enthusiastic students who are passionate about university and tackling educational inequality to act as Volunteer Coaches on our year-long programme.
Universify volunteers deliver monthly 1-to-1 coaching sessions to Year 10-11 students from non-selective state schools, giving you the opportunity to form meaningful connections with your students. You will also play a key role in helping to run one of our 5-day online summer courses, as well as on our 4-day Easter residentials at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge to provide an authentic and inspirational experience of university life.
The need for access and outreach hasn’t diminished due to the current situation – instead it is more important than ever, as reduced school support due to Covid-19 continues to disproportionately impact students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Unfortunately,due to the ongoing uncertainty around Covid-19, we have made the decision to move all our 2020 summer residential programmes online – and we need amazing volunteer coaches to make that happen. We’ve already delivered an online version of our Easter residential and volunteers were fundamental to this success, keeping students engaged and energised throughout.
