Greetings from your new MCR Committee
Dear Clare MCR,
I would like to formally introduce myself, as your new President, and the rest of your new MCR Committee. I am hoping that most of you already know who we are, but for those of you who don’t, check out our first committee picture.

If you read my manifesto, you will know that I am all about making (or rather keeping) the MCR as inclusive, efficient and transparent as possible. Clare is filled with a multitude of bright, creative and vibrant people and I am honored by the opportunity to hold a position that will allow me to engage with more of you on both a personal and academic level.
I would like to thank everyone who voted in the recent MCR elections and by-elections and congratulate those elected onto the new MCR Committee for 2017/18. The elections have pulled together a group of friendly, motivated individuals to represent your interests over the next year. We are an eager bunch and have already started planning and pulling together ideas that will make your Clare life as carefree and entertaining as possible.
But of course all of this would not be possible without the hard work of the previous committees and all the hours that have been put in to make the MCR run as well as it does today. A special thank you to my predecessor Olly who has been a guiding light through this handover process, and who made the job of president look like the simplest thing in the world.
