[EVENT] Workshop: Exercise your interview skills
In the life sciences, panel interviews are common and can be daunting. This workshop aims to get you ready for your next interview. Using improvisation and vocal techniques, we will discover how to stand in front of a panel to calmly and confidently promote ourselves and our research.
Throughout the workshop, we will explore and develop communication skills and presence, gain confidence in using our voices, and become more comfortable with our bodies. We will practice speaking in front of a “mock interview” panel made up of colleagues who will help us become more confident in the moment.
When: 9:45a-5p, Friday, 20 November 2015
Where: Postdoc Centre, 16 Mill Lane, The Basement
Booking: Contact Corina Logan (cl417@cam.ac.uk) to register (limited to 12 participants)
The workshop is free and open to Cambridge University PhD students and postdocs in the Life Sciences
