Introduction to tea yoga:
Rooted in the ancient philosophy and practice of Tea Culture of China and Yoga of India, Tea Yoga is a healthy maintenance practice system developed by Zen master Jingyan (静岩) in recent years based on the traditional method of Chinese vapor therapy. It involves tea facial steaming meditation, Daoyin (导引)breathing exercises, and yoga postures. In the breathing meditation, tea leaves are used as spices for the facial steaming to open the skin’s pores whilst deeply cleansing and rejuvenating the skin. The tea steam helps to open the acupuncture points and channels, clears the blockages, and stimulates the organs to balance themselves, improving the immune system. Exercises of Daoyin and Yoga postures are followed after the body been warmed up and become more flexible. During the whole process, you are relaxed and become more connected with your body, mind, and heart.
Functions:
- Release poisons;
- Rejuvenate skin;
- Release eyes and bodily pressure;
- Have a clear and concentrated mind;
- Bring enlightenment to daily life.
