[Opportunity] Clare 2020-21: creating a chronicle

Of the 694 of them since its foundation, Clare College probably hasn’t had a year quite like this one. With a lot of the college variously under lockdown and/or tarpaulin, we are all finding out together what it’s like being in a college – specifically this one – at a very odd and sometimes very testing historical moment.

In the face of this, we’re hoping that *you* might help us put together a creative record of (and response to) this very strange time for all of us in the college. We’re aiming to compile creative reflections on what it’s like to be part of Clare over this academic year: poems, stories, images, and more. To help you with this, the editorial team will organise access to a range of resources concerning Clare and its histories – objects, archival and architectural and archaeological records, personal reminiscences, and much more.

If you think you might like to contribute, or to be involved in this project in some way, there’ll be an online Q&A on Friday 13th November at 2pm to outline the project further.
