MCR Easter By-Elections Announcement
Dear Clare,
As not all positions were filled in the recent elections, and all executive positions need to be filled, the 2017 By-Elections will be held from 30 May to 2 June, with new committee members taking up their place immediately. We will be holding by-elections for the following MCR committee positions:
Executive:
- Secretary
Non-Executive:
- Accommodation Officer
- Computing Officer
- Welfare (LGBT+)
- Sports Officer
I have only been on the job 5 days, but I can tell you it is going to be a great year and I look forwards to adding 5 new faces to the already stellar committee. Detailed descriptions of the positions can be found at http://mcr.clare.cam.ac.uk/general-elections-2017
Please note that all executive positions have to be nominated and seconded by MCR members by 23 May. Send your nomination to mcr-president@clare.cam.ac.uk. All Executive Committee candidates are kindly asked to submit a manifesto no later than 28 May. Contested Non-executive candidates will also need to submit manifestos. There is no requirement to fill non-executive positions.
Important dates are as follows:
- 23 May: Nominations Close
- 24 May: Candidates nominations confirmed
- 28 May: Manifestos Due
- 30 May: Voting begins
- 2 June: Voting closes
- 3 June: Positions officially changeover
