[EVENT] Nature’s Beauty Concert 4th March
Hi,
The Cambridge University Symphony Chorus and Percussion Ensemble have a concert (‘Nature’s Beauty’) coming up on the 4th March in Trinity Chapel. The programme is a mix of twentieth and twenty-first century music which we think will really appeal to students, so we’d appreciate it if you could help us out by emailing your members about this/putting the attached poster in your weekly bulletin.
The concert is directed by Steven Grahl and includes:
Young, Nature’s Beauty (world premiere, commissioned for this concert)
Copland, In the Beginning
Whitacre, Cloudburst
Maw, ‘One Foot in Eden Still, I Stand’
Thierry Escaich, ‘Choral’s Dream’
Copland, A selection of songs from Twelve Poems of Emily Dickinson
Schumann ‘Des Abends’ from Fantasiestücke op.12
It will also include
Carris Jones as mezzo-soprano soloist
Leo Popplewell on piano
and tickets will be £18, or £6 for students
Thank you in advance for your help!!
Kind regards,
Eli Morris
