[NOTICE] Information regarding a Postgraduate Outreach Scheme

The Postgraduate Outreach Scheme from Cambridge Admissions Office, offers PhD students an opportunity to receive training and deliver academic sessions to young people who visit the university on our Widening Participation events. They are looking to recruit a new cohort of Session Leaders for the scheme and we would like to have a presence at some of the fresher’s events specifically run for graduates to promote the scheme. Those who are taken onto the scheme are paid per event and checks are carried out to check a student’s eligibility to work in the UK. They a sign a Temporary Workers Agreement for each event they are asked to work.

The students currently on the scheme make a huge difference to the success of Widening Participation events organised by both Cambridge Admissions Office, and the colleges, whilst providing valuable teaching experience for PhD students.
