[RESEARCH VOLUNTEER] Last call for participants! Eating disorder study in Dept of Psychiatry
Researchers in the Department of Psychiatry are inviting women with eating disorders (bulimia nervosa, anorexia nervosa with bingeing/purging) to participate in a brain imaging study on mood and eating behaviour.
The study involves two visits to Addenbrooke’s Hospital: one screening visit, lasting about 4 hours, and one overnight visit, lasting about 36 hours. At the screening, we will collect a blood sample, measure your body composition and ask you some questions about your health history. We will then ask you to collect some saliva samples at home. For the overnight visit, we will ask you to complete some questionnaires, computer tasks, two MRI scans and more blood sampling. Sessions can be scheduled outside of term time.
You will be compensated up to £250 for taking part.
