[Event] Inaugural Cambridge University PalTrek: 2nd Info Session, Friday 6pm
DO YOU WANT THE CHANCE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE PALESTINIAN SITUATION AND EXPERIENCE THE WEST BANK FOR YOURSELF?
We are a group of PhD and Masters students from various faculties who are organising the inaugural ‘Cambridge University PalTrek’: an annual trip to Palestine organised by and for Cambridge graduate students, following the model of the popular Harvard Kennedy School Palestine Trek. The aim of the trip is to allow interested students the unique opportunity to see and experience the situation in the West Bank first-hand.
Our inaugural trip will be taking place in May 2018 (dates TBC). During the week long trip, you will get to see the religious and cultural sites of the West Bank, and meet with top NGOs, journalists, politicians, activists, top business leaders, academics and Palestinian locals. Whether you know a lot or a very little about the issue, this trip will give an introduction or a fuller perspective on narratives that are usually inaccessible.
Our first Info Session took place on Monday, but we received many emails from people who couldn’t make the event.
Therefore, we are hosting another informal Information Session on:
FRIDAY 1ST DECEMBER AT 6PM IN EMMANUEL COLLEGE, ROOM G3
If you’re interested in finding out more about the trip, or think you might want to join us on the inaugural Trek, please come join us. We will be discussing the aims of the trip, the itinerary, how to apply, and answering any questions you might have. Snacks will be provided! The application is now open, and will close after Dec. 23: Tinyurl.com/CambridgePalTrek
Many thanks
