[EVENT] Preventing Intimate Partner Violence Event: 30 November
A Global Perspective
On 30 November 2016, the Violence Research Centre at the Institute of Criminology, University of Cambridge, will host Professor Charlotte Watts, for a discussion on intimate partner violence and strategies for prevention.
Professor Charlotte Watts will join Professor Manuel Eisner, Director of the Violence Research Centre, to discuss strategies for elimination of violence against women, in light of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. Professor Watts will offer a global, multi-disciplinary perspective to the complex challenge of addressing violence against women.
Professor Watts is the Chief Scientific Adviser at the Department for International Development, UK Government, and has twenty years of experience in international HIV and violence research.
This event will be held on Wednesday, 30 November from 5:30-7pm, with a drinks reception afterwards. The venue is Room B3, Institute of Criminology, Sidgwick Avenue, University of Cambridge.
