This event will showcase the country’s rich cultural and culinary heritage via Balinese dance workshop, Tempeh live forum, movie screening, talks, culinary & and ethnic clothing bazaar.
Balinese dance workshop (Putu Natih, DPhil Candidate, University of Oxford)Putu has been learning traditional Balinese dance and the gamelan since she was 6 years old. She has conducted numerous dance workshops in the UK, including Bedfordshire, Exeter, and Oxford.Come and discover the intricate dances of Bali. You can try on the dance costumes and practise the hand gestures alongside the eye and fan movements.
Tempeh workshop (A Driando Ahnan, PhD Student, UMass Amherst, https://www.tempemovement.com/)Tempeh is an affordable, healthy, delicious, and sustainable food, originally from Indonesia.In this event, you will have the chance to not only taste Tempeh, but also make them from scratch using fermented soybeans!

- Local perspectives on education and development in rural Papua, Indonesia (Rupert Stasch, Department of Social Anthropology, University of Cambridge)
- Indonesian cultural heritage (Rangga Dachlan, MPhil in Archeology at University of Cambridge, Lecturer at Law Faculty of Gadjah Mada University)
Culinary and ethnic clothing bazaar
Ticket: £5 for 4 tokens (£1 each for extra tokens). Tokens will be used to purchase items in the bazaar.
