Apply for Clare MCR membership
Dear Clare MCR,
As you have hopefully discovered this week, the MCR is the social hub of Clare College. I hope you are all looking forward to celebrating the new academic year!
As the MCR Secretary I just want to make you aware of the small cost of being an MCR member. At just £30 per year you get access to the MCR and all the goodies available.
These include:
- Access to papers, magazines, free coffee, cakes etc.
- Entitled to book a member’s ticket and guest tickets for each MCR Formal Hall and any other MCR event, subject to availability.
- Entitled to book the MCR punts.
- Full members are entitled to vote in MCR elections and General Meetings.
- Full members can propose motions for General meetings or amendments to the constitution.
- Full members and 4th year Undergraduate Associate members are entitled to stand for MCR committee positions.
All Clare Graduates have access to the Middle Common Room regardless of MCR membership.
If you want in and are a Clare Graduate, you fortunately don’t have to do anything. You will be billed in due course on your college bill. However, in the unlikely event that you don’t want access to our amazing facilities (which is totally not advised), please email me by 23:59 on Friday 9th October 2015.
For those Clare Undergraduates who are eligible for Full or Associate membership please email me by 23:59 on Friday 9th October 2015 if you wish to be part of the MCR.
