Clare College MCR elections 2015-16
Hey Clare MCR!
THE most important election of 2015 will take place on 21st April 2015 for the MCR Committee 2015-16 (and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!). I would thoroughly recommend those of you who will be here next year to consider running for a position as it’s a fantastic way to get involved with College.
Following the constitution, we are seeking candidates to run for the following seven executive positions:
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Bar Managers (x2)
- Social Secretaries (x2)
In line with the constitution, those candidates for executive positions much be proposed and seconded by full members of the MCR. No member can propose or second more than one candidate for any one post. Candidates for executive positions must submit a manifesto at least two days before the MCR elections.
Following the constitution, we are seeking candidates to run for the following seven non-executive positions:
- Welfare (Female)
- Welfare (LGBT+)
- Accommodation Officer
- Clareity President
- Green Officer
- Mature Students Officer
- St Regis Officer
- Sports Officer
- Fourth Year Officer
A candidate for a non-executive position does not require to be proposed or seconded. Candidates for non-executive positions only need to submit a manifesto if more than one candidate decides to run.

For those intending to run for a position on the MCR Committee, can you please send me your confirmation of candidate status no later than the 14th April 2015. If the position you’re running for requires a manifesto, please send it to me by the 18th April 2015.
