[Info] MCR Book Deliveries

Hello isolating freshers,
If you’re tired of staring out your window (or, more likely, have developed extreme Netflix fatigue), fear not! Clare’s Forbes-Mellon Library (FML) is now allowing book reservations for isolating graduate students. 
You can request up to five books via email to library@clare.cam.ac.uk (weekend requests will be sorted on Monday). When your books are ready to be collected, please email me at mcr-library@clare.cam.ac.uk to schedule a drop-off at your doorstep with another MCR member.
Search for books online at https://idiscover.lib.cam.ac.uk/ by selecting ‘Clare College’ in the dropdown menu labeled ‘All Libraries’. More information on the FML in general can be found on the library’s Moodle site: http://www.vle.cam.ac.uk/.
Clare has a lovely general collection for all fields of study, with everything from the political theory of Hannah Arendt and the philosophy of Kierkegaard to all the plays of Shakespeare and the writings of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. So even if you’re not particularly keen to get a head start on course readings, there’s bound to be something you can choose for, dare I say, ~fun~.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need help finding a good novel or would like a suggestion based on your interests. And I’m always happy to browse the shelves in your place if you need inspiration!
