[VOLUNTEERS NEEDED] CHaOS events
Cambridge Hands-On Science (a.k.a. CHaOS) is a student society which aims to show children and families that science can be fun, exciting and something that they can understand.
a) We will be demonstrating fun science experiments to the public at Cambridge Science Centre on Sat 23rd and Sun 24th, and also Sat 30th and Sun 31st of August and we would love some grad volunteers!
The sessions will be running 2-4pm for the public but we ask you to be available from 1:30pm to help with set up and familiarise yourself with experiments! We’ll give you a quick intro before you start if you haven’t demonstrated with us before. The sessions will be great fun and give you a break to chat about science with the public!
If you would like to sign up, please go to www.chaosscience.org.uk/node/1612.
b) CHaOS are also at the Cherry Hinton Festival on Sat 20th September. Cherry Hinton Festival is an annual local community festival. The event will run from 12-5pm but we will ask you to arrive at 10:45 to help set up and to familiarise yourself with your experiment, and then stay for a bit after the event to help with packing up.
